At Osun DemTalks, stakeholders examined voter behaviour and public confidence in elections through a mix of data, discussion, and shared experience. The session “Wetin Dey Trend 9ja?” provided a starting point, using past election trends to explore patterns in turnout and engagement. The discussion drew input from representatives of the Independent National Electoral Commission, civil society, and the media, while participants raised concerns around trust, accountability, and the credibility of the process. Focus then moved to access to information. Through a demonstration of the Naija Elections platform, participants engaged with a tool aimed at improving how citizens follow and understand electoral processes. The session linked information access directly to participation, highlighting the role of timely and accurate knowledge. An interactive quiz session reinforced key themes from the discussions and encouraged active participation. Osun DemTalks was convened by the Kimpact Development Initiative, bringing together stakeholders across government, civil society, media, and security institutions.
